Sci-High provide exciting workshops to support students studying Level 3 Criminology and Forensic Psychology. Delivered by professionals who have worked in the Criminal Justice System, the workshops deal with the investigation of a crime at the school or college in which the roles of forensic scientists and other agencies are explained and a simulated crime scene is examined. A partly-scripted role-play courtroom trial then takes place with students as judge, barrister, jury, accuseds, witnesses and a forensic psychologist. The role of forensic psychologists, both pre-trial and post-trial is considered. The nature of the crime is examined against the background of patterns and theories of offending, criminal careers, deterrence and the treatment of offenders. And as well as dealing with theory, we aim to have fun! The full-day workshops can accommodate up to 40 students. For more information, please email jon@scihigh.co.uk
