Workbooks for BTEC, OCR Nationals, GCSE Applied Science
When we deliver events to support BTEC level 2/level 3 forensic science, the OCR Nationals level 2 Certificate forensic science and GCSE Additional Applied Science, we provide a purpose-written student workbook - approved by teachers and moderators - which students complete for their assignment. The aim is to provide a means of producing high-quality assignments based on real professional practice. A teacher's reference with model answers is also supplied. The workbooks are provided electronically to the school also so that they are available in future years. The quoted costs for BTEC, OCR and GCSE Additonal Applied events includes the workbooks.

The Casenotes Reference for Teachers is a casenotes model answer for the Examination Records in the Student Workbook. It consists of completed Forensic Science Examination Record Forms for all evidential items examined in the aggravated burglary including clothing, weapon, blood spatter patterns, swabs, footwear, other scene items, fingerprints, footwear impressions, blood, physical fit, glass, paint, fibres, hairs. The forms are based on real professional records and are presented in a form appropriate for KS4 students. The workbook also includes x-ray microanalysis spectra of glass; infra-red spectra of paint and fibres; visible spectra of fibres (microspectrophotometry); and DNA profiles.
